Why is it that when I start up Teams it automatically opens up my Chats first?

I have my Microsoft Teams set to open up automatically when my computer starts, however, whenever it starts up the 'Chat' tab is always showing first. How can I make it so that the 'Teams' tab is what's shown when it first opens up. This is ever since switching to the new version.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I didn't test it enough and after a restart, it went back to opening to Chat. Drat!

Turning off the Teams as 365 chat app seemed to make Teams close faster but when I reopened it (while the computer was on and active), it still opened in the chat tab. I don't put my computer to sleep but have had to leave it on for the past few nights because I am doing a major backup. I close the apps not in use and when I restart Teams in the morning, back to the chat we go ... Haven't yet found a solution.

I have it the other way around: it's ticked and it starts in Teams for me 🤷‍♂️

Mine is currently unchecked and opens to chat every time.

Do you restart your computer or just put it to sleep? If I close the app and re-open it'll open again to wherever I left it, but if I shut down / restart then it will re-open to chat every time.

Uncheck the box that says "Register the new teams as the chat app for Microsoft 365 (requires restarting Microsoft 365 applications)"

This seems to have worked for me, it no longer opens to the "Chat" screen by default.
