Why is it that when I start up Teams it automatically opens up my Chats first?

I have my Microsoft Teams set to open up automatically when my computer starts, however, whenever it starts up the 'Chat' tab is always showing first. How can I make it so that the 'Teams' tab is what's shown when it first opens up. This is ever since switching to the new version.

Thanks!

I use Teams EVERYDAY at work and chat is not the thing I want to open up when I start Teams. PLEASE fix this Microsoft this is becoming more and more frustrating that this option went away and has no return in sight.

The settings option is not available in my version of Teams. I am working in the latest version.

I don't know why this is so difficult. I never use chat. I always need to be in the Teams section of this program.

I'm on a PC and that's what I'm seeing. No 'applications' setting.

I use both Mac and Windows desktop versions and online versions, all operating systems up to date, with all versions Teams opens on the chat page, whether pinned or not or whatever. As soon as you close the app (not just click away, but close it completely) and open it again, it starts on the chat page. And there is no setting anywhere to change this.
So nothing new in the west.

So to all of you who haven't done it yet, please cast your vote here, the more votes the better.
Microsoft is not interested in the chats here, but only - if at all - in the feedback pages like below. But even there, only if a lot of users complain, so far there are apparently far too few:

    1. Allow user to choose app opening view - https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/3518b266-a0dc-ee11-a73d-6045bd7a7839
    2. Set preferred default view - https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/86d55a3b-f7f0-ee11-a73d-6045bd7a7839
