Why is it that when I start up Teams it automatically opens up my Chats first?

I have my Microsoft Teams set to open up automatically when my computer starts, however, whenever it starts up the 'Chat' tab is always showing first. How can I make it so that the 'Teams' tab is what's shown when it first opens up. This is ever since switching to the new version.

    I think Alex's reply was for a Windows User.

    Your screenshot matches mine and I use the Mac version of Teams. I am assuming you're a Mac user too?

    It really annoys me that the MS Applications for both Mac and Windows are different.

    Adobe manages to make both versions of its software identical without a hitch - why can't Microsoft?

    The default answer is always for the Windows version and that's where we find out what's missing in the Mac version.

    I gave that a go but I can't seem to find the 'Application' section that you mention. Please see image. This is all that shows under 'General'.

    Did we get an answer to this? I see the same thing, no Application box. I want the calendar to be first not chat and can't change it in New Teams so I will have to revert back to the older version.

    I'm having the same issue - the menu/options in my Teams, General do not match what the Microsoft Moderator provided. Mine look like Theressa's and it isn't intuitive what to change to make it open in Teams, General, Files instead of the Chat option.

    Agreed! Any update on this - It starts in Teams and I want it to start in Chat - can't find any option with the new 2024 update.
