"We couldn't complete that action" when creating a new Team

I am having the same issue as a new user, but same am able to revert to Teams Classic (for now) or use the web version. Does seem to be a computer app specific issue to the "new" teams. Hopefully Microsoft can fix this soon!

Updating and/or restarting Teams worked for the first few users I tested it with, but I still have several users that this didn't work for. Unfortunate, but at this point to be expected. Thanks for letting me know though! At least a few more users can do it now.

Our office has also been experiencing this. I tried a few things to no avail, however the following worked for me (temporarily until I rebooted overnight). I then signed out of Teams and signed back in again and working so far .......

1. Type settings in the search box of your laptop, and then select the Settings app from the results.
2. Select Apps > Installed apps, and then type Microsoft Teams in the search box.
3. Locate the New Microsoft Teams app from the results, select the More options button (...) on the right, and then select Advanced options.
4. In the Reset section, select Reset. (I tried Repair but it didn't work)
5. Restart Teams by typing Teams in the search bar, then Click Open

The only solution I've found to this is to uninstall Teams from the users laptop and reinstall it, it does break after about a week, but it's the only solution I can find.
