Hi all, The way I work is that I have Teams open on the half of my 3rd small screen (laptop). Today I realized that recent chats pane just stay open which means that actual chat is now 1/4 of the screen.... (small slice) Previously I had to hover over chats icon and then select which chat I want to answer. This feature works when I zoom in A LOT (ctrl +) but it's impossible to work this way. I tried following things: Resize Teams window from both sides Move Teams window from left to right and then resize Unpin/Pin Chats icon Modify settings.json file with different settings...no luck Details: Microsoft Teams version: 24193.1805.3040.8975 Teams Client version: 49/24080212008 Everything works fine under version: 49/24071128825 Can somebody assist please? :) TO SAVE YOUR TIME - USE THIS FIX Go to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes

Yup, it was fine yesterday and when i got in this morning, auto hide was gone. I had to zoom in at 230 for the auto hide to work and then change the size of font ect to try to make it work. I suggest everyone just go to settings and click on feedback. If enough of us do that, im sure they will bring it back.

Literally just happened to me. it only took a split second. one moment my chats auto hide, the next they are there for good. What genius idea fairy at Microsoft thought this was a good idea? what's next, square wheels for cars? Glad I'm not the only one trying to figure out why my teams chat is in a state of devolution.

I thought I was tripping. Was working fine yesterday now the chat list is just stuck and it’s been throwing me off. I just want to know why this changed for real.

Glad to find this thread. I've spent the first 40 minutes of my work day trying to fix this. All my settings were reset and the chat list won't even let me adjust the width. Not sure why it needed to be updated, it was fine as it was. Now it's taking more screen space and I'm grouchy about it.

How do I make Teams chats auto hide and open only when I hover over them?

This happened to one of my coworkers this morning to fix it he:

went to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options

scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app

this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes
