Hi all, The way I work is that I have Teams open on the half of my 3rd small screen (laptop). Today I realized that recent chats pane just stay open which means that actual chat is now 1/4 of the screen.... (small slice) Previously I had to hover over chats icon and then select which chat I want to answer. This feature works when I zoom in A LOT (ctrl +) but it's impossible to work this way. I tried following things: Resize Teams window from both sides Move Teams window from left to right and then resize Unpin/Pin Chats icon Modify settings.json file with different settings...no luck Details: Microsoft Teams version: 24193.1805.3040.8975 Teams Client version: 49/24080212008 Everything works fine under version: 49/24071128825 Can somebody assist please? :) TO SAVE YOUR TIME - USE THIS FIX Go to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes

Same thing happened to me, I didn't do anything different. It just stopped auto hiding the left vertical task bar. When I hover over the left side the tab would auto hide and now all of a sudden it won't auto hide. I have been crazy trying to find the fix and I have been unsuccessful. I guess it was a Teams update that we are forced to live with and I hate it.

Hello, I just experienced this situation: I have been using Teams for 4 years. When I hover over the "Chats" icon in my left ribbon, the Chats window would open/display until I selected a chat, then the chats window would "auto-hide" (like a menu ribbon in all of the other MS Office apps). This was convenient for me because I have 1 monitor with Outlook & Teams (side-by-side) so my chat window is narrow. Then, as of yesterday, the Chats window stays open permanently (does not auto-hide). Maybe I accidentally hit a button? Maybe there was an update that disabled that feature? I don't know. I need to find out how to "Auto-Hide" Chats window. Mark Mazzullo

Wait, I literally have this same issue today! I had to double check to see if you actually posted today lol. Ugh this is so annoying! It was working this morning then suddenly changed. It's happened before where I was able to fix it, but I guess it's a new update? Smh

This happened to one of my coworkers this morning to fix it he:

went to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options

scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app

this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes

I just experienced this situation: I have been using Teams for 4 years.
