Hi all,
The way I work is that I have Teams open on the half of my 3rd small screen (laptop).
Today I realized that recent chats pane just stay open which means that actual chat is now 1/4 of the screen.... (small slice)
Previously I had to hover over chats icon and then select which chat I want to answer.
This feature works when I zoom in A LOT (ctrl +) but it's impossible to work this way.
I tried following things:

Everything works fine under version: 49/24071128825
Can somebody assist please? :)

This happened to one of my coworkers this morning to fix it he:
went to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options
scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app
this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes
How annoying... yesterday, my open chats would hide until I hovered over the Chat icon. Today they take up half the width of my Chat window.

just developed the same problem today. it was fine yesterday and the existing chats would auto hide if I snapped the MS Teams to half my screen. Today I have to zoom to 125% to get the chat list to hide. Auto hide chat list should be an option regardless of zoom percent!! I hate having all existing chats listed and not being able to hide it. Microsoft can do better!!!!

i've also been using this program for years & it wasn't until yesterday afternoon
that it decided i'm stuck with the chats panel. Conversely, my coworker would
like to have the option to pin the panel (as opposed to auto-hide), but theirs
doesn't seem to have updated yet & doesn't provide such option

Whyteamswhy partially answered the question. Zoom in on your text until the pane goes away. Then resize the Teams window to the size you want it to be. Then start to zoom back out from the text. There is a threshold but you will be able to get very close to what you had previously before the update and the chat pane will remain hidden. I have tried this on several machines and it has worked for all of them so far.
