Hi all, The way I work is that I have Teams open on the half of my 3rd small screen (laptop). Today I realized that recent chats pane just stay open which means that actual chat is now 1/4 of the screen.... (small slice) Previously I had to hover over chats icon and then select which chat I want to answer. This feature works when I zoom in A LOT (ctrl +) but it's impossible to work this way. I tried following things: Resize Teams window from both sides Move Teams window from left to right and then resize Unpin/Pin Chats icon Modify settings.json file with different settings...no luck Details: Microsoft Teams version: 24193.1805.3040.8975 Teams Client version: 49/24080212008 Everything works fine under version: 49/24071128825 Can somebody assist please? :) TO SAVE YOUR TIME - USE THIS FIX Go to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes

SOLUTION FOUND! Microsoft Teams-Version 24257.205.3165.2029. Client version ist 49/24091221318. Windows 10. I tried following and it works: maximize the teams window reduce the zoom to 80% double click on windows to get old size back reduce the team window from the right side until the chat list closes automatically After that the chat list will only show up if you hover over the chat button or another button Regards

Apparently, there was an update to Teams that fixed this issue today. I'm back to having my screen at 100% and the chat list will stay hidden. I guess enough of us complained that they fixed it.

NOW IT SEEMS TO WORK (Chat, Teams & Activity 'History' auto-hide, expand when you hover over them). Noticed yesterday (9/18/2024) that it only worked when I shrink the window small enough. Now (9/19/2024) it works when you auto-fit the window to less than 1/2 of the display area (or narrow enough) for it to Auto-Hide the history. here is my version today: VersionYou have Microsoft Teams version 24231.512.3106.6573.You've got the latest version. This happened to one of my coworkers this morning to fix it he:

went to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options

scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app

this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes

Microsoft Teams-Version 24257.205.3165.2029. Client version ist 49/24091221318. Windows 10.

I tried following and it works:

This happens after update to Microsoft Teams-Version 24257.205.3165.2029

The old version for Windows 7 has not this unnecessary feature.

Why programmers always think that every user has a 140 inches curved UHD monitor for work?

Can any programmer explain to us (to the users who pay your salary, too) why usefull features are banned from newer versions?
