    Hello ,

I'm Shalom and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Experiencing an "unexpected server error" in Microsoft Teams Approval app can be frustrating, but there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot:

    1. Clear Browser Cache: If you're using the Teams web app, clear your browser's cache and cookies. This can help resolve issues related to cached data.
    2. Try Another Browser or Device: Sometimes, browser-specific issues can cause problems. Try using a different web browser or device to see if the issue persists.
    3. Update Microsoft Teams: Make sure you're using the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Outdated software can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
    4. Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to use the Approval app and create requests. Check your organization's policies and your own user settings.
    5. Network Connection: Sometimes, network issues can interfere with the functioning of Teams apps. Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
    6. Check for Updates: Make sure your Teams app and the Approval app are up to date. Developers frequently release updates to fix bugs and improve performance.
    7. Browser Extensions: Disable any browser extensions that might interfere with the Teams web app.
    8. Try in Desktop Client: If you're using the web app, try accessing Teams through the desktop client to see if the issue persists there. Sometimes, the desktop client may provide a more stable experience.

    Best Regards, Shalom

    Hi Sainath konduru,

Can you post the version of Teams you are using please and is this on a Mac or Windows computer?

To find the version of Microsoft Teams that you are using, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open Microsoft Teams on your computer.

    2. Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of the screen.

    3. Select "About" from the drop-down menu.

    4. A pop-up window will appear, showing the version number of Microsoft Teams that you are currently using.

Note: If you are using the web version of Microsoft Teams, you can find the version number by clicking on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of the screen, and then selecting "Help" from the drop-down menu. The version number will be displayed at the bottom of the Help menu.
