Microsoft, please allow the disabling/removal of the Subject line from users profile and/or organization settings. The whole point of chat was to get rid of the bloat that company e-mail policies had pushed to ruin the usefulness of email. I'm busy all day and have to read and input a lot of data so why add more work especially when it doesn't add value. At least allow us to disable it. I know you can leave it blank but I post a lot each day. I'm pretty sure Slack would allow to disable. If you want to add on as an after effect or support tagging so it can be categorized by AI then please do it another way(like after post adding) that doesn't impact the power users.
Hi Stanley,
I understand the subject is optional and doesn't display on the "post". To restate the issue...
Agree 100% with the changes to force the subject line and have to add clicks to post something simple.
This subject line is cutting off photos and we need to click on "see more" to see the bottom of the photo. This is affecting our productivity and our work flow.
Subject lines are unnecessary in POSTS.
Subject lines are helpful in email ONLY.
I know the subject line was a hidden feature in posts before. I don't know why they chose to bring this option to the forefront but it is certainly a productivity and work flow killer.
Microsoft certainly did not get user feedback on these "new" features prior to deploying to everyone. This subject line should be OPTIONAL and a setting choice for the organization or by Team Channel.
The recent updates to Teams have not been helpful to productivity.
