It called "instant" messaging for a reason. Add an admin control to disable it. Users don't want it!

August 2023 Microsoft were listening to feedback...

January 2024 now... how's that listening going? The Subject line in every new post is superfluous and inconvenient and it's irritating. It's a poor design choice, I don't go a day without cursing at it and it's clear I'm not alone. Just allow us to turn it off if we want to - one button, so easy, could have it rolled out by tomorrow.

That reply really just seems like an extremely convenient way for you to avoid listening to the customers.

We are paying for this service and do NOT want this feature. Not only that, its actually delaying communication and causing a constant daily frustration.

Would you PLEASE convey this feedback internally?

Please upvote the thread below in the Microsoft Feedback Portal. Clearly nothing is done here:

Please get rid of the subject line in Channels. Our users hate it and I hate it too as the system admin · Community (microsoft.com)
