Microsoft Teams Copying Name, Timestamp, and Message

Based on your description regarding "Microsoft Teams Copying Name, Timestamp, and Message". My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this might be causing you, after thorough testing, I reproduced your issue at my side. It could be Microsoft changed something at backend. I will report it to replated team. The Workaround I found is to hold mouse for selecting the message with Time and sender you want then use CTRL+C for copy and CTRL+V for paste while you are still holding mouse. Therefore, I will update this thread as soon as I get more detail information about the query and fix.

Also, if you have the organization admin permission, you can also raise a service request to report this symptom to our online channel through the O365 admin center. A support agent can further connect with you remotely, for further troubleshooting and involve the backend team where need be. Get support for Microsoft 365 for business -- Online support. I will also revert back when I get more info on this. Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated. Have a nice day!

Thank you for the quick response. I will report this issue to my senior engineers for ticket submission. I also appreciate the workaround, however the way you provided also copies a lot of unneeded information that I cannot use and will take a lot of time to delete.

In my organization we are finding the same issue.

Seems like this is an issue Worldwide as there is way too much additional information showing up which makes business groups in my org frustrated as they relay on the time stamp information for auditing purposes.

HI, could you clarify what the workaround is here? I am having this issue on a Mac and when I select the text as well as the date/timestamp & sender and do a Cmd-C / Cmd-V (equivalent to Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V on Windows) I get the message only - not the messgae together with the date/timestamp & sender. I am not sure what you mean by "hold mouse for selecting the message with Time and sender you want." Thank you!
