Microsoft Teams Copying Name, Timestamp, and Message

I used to be able to copy a series of teams messages and it would include the Username, timestamp and the message, but now it only includes the message. I did not change anything about the way I'm copying. I need to be able to copy and paste this data for my work. I have already deleted the MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe file to clear cache, and I've reset and repaired the app. I have had no luck in getting this ability back. We should have the choice of including this data in clipboard or not.

2024-08-21T16:00:12+00:00 Must be the fault of a new Teams version for sure. I guess this was meant as an improvement, in some cases it even might be when you just want the text.
But most of the times I want the time stamps and person names copied for reference.
How about letting the user decide?
Right Click on highlighted area -> Copy message text only | Copy with time stamps
Ctrl+C -> Copy with time stamps
Ctrl+Shift+C -> Copy message text only
The workaround is not really workable, as already stated it copies a lot of clutter and combines lines of text which should not be combined.

2024-08-21T14:27:19+00:00 Same thing happened to me, but seemed to be after my work laptop was replaced with a newer one with Windows 11 instead of Windows 10.
But keeping the mouse button held down while copying is key to the workaround: that's the only way to copy both the sender/timestamp.

My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this might be causing you, after thorough testing, I reproduced your issue at my side. It could be Microsoft changed something at backend. I will report it to replated team. The Workaround I found is to hold mouse for selecting the message with Time and sender you want then use CTRL+C for copy and CTRL+V for paste while you are still holding mouse. Therefore, I will update this thread as soon as I get more detail information about the query and fix.
Also, if you have the organization admin permission, you can also raise a service request to report this symptom to our online channel through the O365 admin center. A support agent can further connect with you remotely, for further troubleshooting and involve the backend team where need be. Get support for Microsoft 365 for business -- Online support. I am having this issue on a Mac and when I select the text as well as the date/timestamp & sender and do a Cmd-C / Cmd-V (equivalent to Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V on Windows) I get the message only - not the messgae together with the date/timestamp & sender. I am not sure what you mean by "hold mouse for selecting the message with Time and sender you want." Thank you!
