My Airpod pro 2 doesn't work on Teams

My Airpod pro 2 doesn't work on Teams. They have no problem with other programs, and also work on teams on my phone.

They connect fine and I can see that they are selected in the teams settings. The app is also on the list of apps that can access the microphone and so on.

Furthermore I have disconnected them and reconnected them several times, I have also deleted Teams and installed once agin. Nothing works!!!!

It works fine otherwise and with other headphones.

I spent 2.5 hours yesterday doing allll of the steps I've found in every forum and I think rolling back the intel bluetooth driver worked for me. I did a test run with teams, Settings > Devices > Make a test call, and everything worked for the first time since this all started a few months back. I havent had an actual teams call to test it but this is promising. I think some things work for some people, and others work for some, its not a one fix works for all type of thing.

Windows Key + X > Device Manager > Bluetooth > Intel Wireless Bluetooth > Driver > Rollback Driver. Restart Windows. I also restarted my airpods before I rebooted, and re-connected them to windrows to have a clean slate on both accounts. Then made my test call with teams and it worked.

    I did this driver update, but still exactly the same issue: fine to use as speakers, but switching on the mic kills all audio in Teams.

    Very disappointing.

    Finally found the fix.

    Visit the site https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html and update the Bluetooth drivers by downloading and installing.

    Once done restart your pc and it should work just fine.

    I had this same issue, running an HP laptop with a standard built in Bluetooth 5.3 adaptor my Airpods Pro 2 would constantly connect and disconnect making calling impossible.

    I fixed the issue by purchasing a TP Link Bluetooth 5.0 adapter from Amazon, disabled the built-in HP bluetooth adaptor in windows Device Manager, plugged in the TP Link adaptor to a spare USB port and repaired the Airpods Pro2. Teams calling now works perfectly.

    The other option is to use the Airpods Pro 2 solely as headphones and disable the mic by going to Windows Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right click the Airpods Pro 2 > Properties and untick the Handsfree Telephony under the Services tab. This does mean using the built in mic on your laptop instead.

    I can only assume that bluetooth 5.3, Teams and Airpods Pro 2 are a somehow match made in hell and downgrading the bluetooth helped.
