My Airpod pro 2 doesn't work on Teams. They have no problem with other programs, and also work on teams on my phone.

They connect fine and I can see that they are selected in the teams settings. The app is also on the list of apps that can access the microphone and so on.

Furthermore I have disconnected them and reconnected them several times, I have also deleted Teams and installed once agin. Nothing works!!!!

It works fine otherwise and with other headphones.

I spent 2.5 hours yesterday doing allll of the steps I've found in every forum and I think rolling back the intel bluetooth driver worked for me. I did a test run with teams, Settings > Devices > Make a test call, and everything worked for the first time since this all started a few months back. I havent had an actual teams call to test it but this is promising. I think some things work for some people, and others work for some, its not a one fix works for all type of thing.

Windows Key + X > Device Manager > Bluetooth > Intel Wireless Bluetooth > Driver > Rollback Driver. Restart Windows. I also restarted my airpods before I rebooted, and re-connected them to windrows to have a clean slate on both accounts. Then made my test call with teams and it worked.

Airpod Pro 2nd gen worked for me for a year, remember that I did have the same issues setting it up for the first time.

And when I did a reset of the Airpods this week and having to reconnect them to Bluetoth the issue reappeared.

It was possible to use the Airpods in Teams for speaker sound as long as I used the computer Microphone.
But as soon as switching the Teams setting to use the Airpod microphone the sound in the pods were lost and microphone did not work either.

By switching back to computer microphone I got the sound back in the pods.

Struggling with different settings for a while it looks like changing the System > Sound setting "Mono" to ON solved it.

And maybe it do have something with each pod have a microphone and the driver cant handle that and just crash.

I also turned of any Audio enhancements.

I have not evaluated the sound quality for others in the meetings or anything yet, but the setting of "transparency" and "noice reduction" of for listening still works to switch between by pressing the pods.

I think it is Apple that need to develop a proper Windows driver for the Airpods to make them compatible with Teams and work out of the box.
And why there are so much issues with Teams in particular is that Teams have its own special sound settings.

    Hi

This did not work for me. I have the latest driver from Intel and the airpods still wont work fully with Teams. Using laptop mic, the airpods work fine as headphones. But using the Airpods mic turns off all sound in Teams

    Hi Tomas,

I don't think it is the Microsoft issue.

This is related to the bluetooth drivers from Intel.

Please update the Bluetooth drivers by visiting https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html , restart the pc and try to connect. Mine are working fine now after this.

    Thanks
