Removing the"Suggested" List in Teams Chat

I was reviewing this case and found we were not able to provide you the exact resolution on this ticket reason being this behavior is expected as per our internal resource team. We are currently working on a solution for an “opt-out” option for users with suggested contacts, which will resolve the issue. However, there is no ETA on when this option will be rolled out. In the meantime, users can simply collapse the suggested contact list.

Funny thing is that my girlfriend who sits right besides me, onboarded to a different company and using the latest New Teams, the app is NOT showing the "Suggested list" at all... Only difference is that her company is using a partner. So, why do partners have the ability to turn off suggestions, but others who don't depend on a partner dosen't?!

Well, what I found was that turning off "Show recommended selection" (or something alike, my Windows is set to Dutch) in the privacy settings of Windows Explorer (yes, explorer, not Teams) made this go away! Maybe this helps?

So to acces this, start Windows Explorer and click the three dots. Choose "Options" and the privacy section should be on the first tab.
