Removing the"Suggested" List in Teams Chat

I think it was a "higher up" that pushed this through.

I'm wondering, is Microsoft even aware of this issue?

What is really shocking to me as someone who takes pride in my work, is how do these coders or whoever built this software think something like this is release-ready? I'd be completely embarrassed if I were on that team. What's even more shocking is they had to specifically work to INCLUDE this odd feature that I can't ever see being useful.

Click on the options menu (three dots) located at the top right corner of the screen. 2. Select Settings. 3. Open the General page. 4. Uncheck the Show suggested replies in chat option. I want to reiterate here. This process only shuts off "Suggested Replies". What that function does is provide you suggested responses to messages you get. For example, if someone asks you if you want to go to dinner after work, you will have a list of responses to choose from, like "Sure", or "Sorry, I can't today." This has nothing to do with contacts at all.

The problem I am having is this list keeps growing. There are contacts in this list that sent me SPAM and are on my blocked list. Where are they getting this from?

Microsoft needs to read this and create a setting that hides the list or even a setting that does not allow teams to autofill contacts.

Thank you to Michael Harwood2 for giving us a work around, even though you have to ditch the app to have Teams work properly.

This is stupid.
