Microsoft Teams Spell Check

With the recent update to Teams the spellchecker is not working correctly.  It will show the misspelled word but when you click on it there is no longer a suggested spelling popping up.  We (Several in the company) have noticed this on the latest update to the following version, Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.21970 (64-bit).

I have already gone in and deleted the setting.json file, that will work for a short time 10-20 minutes then back to not given a suggestion.

I tested if we use the pop out feature and chat in a seperate window spellchecker will work as intended it appear to be the same issue as posted before.

    It seems that multilanguage spell check is not implemented in new Teams. That is "reported" in the known issues about new Teams ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/new-teams-known-issues). Furthermore, it seems that no planning exists for adding this feature in the near future.

    I really don't understand how they release a new Teams version with half of the old version's features implemented...

    I agree with you, what I dont' understand is why there isn't a common/shared spell check and custom dictionary for all of Microsoft Office apps instead of having each app have its own version. Seems like a huge break int eh collaboration between Office Teams.

    The MS Teams spell check is terrible, it constantly suggests irrelevant words that should otherwise be very simple.

    Example:

    Misspelling: evertone

    Suggestions: overtone, Everton, overtones

    How about suggesting "EVERYONE"?????

    I did these steps and teams just does not suggest the right words. I tend to transpose letters so the word SHOULD comes out as SHOUDL or the work JUST is JSUT and jut about any word with ING at the end gets typed IGN. When I was on Windows 10 in Teams it would suggest the right word, but now that I moved to Windows 11 it does not.

    Teams does make suggestions but they are horrible suggestions. these are just a few examples.
