Microsoft Teams Spell Check

For about a week mine was working great again, now it doesn't even detect a word is misspelled.

I had the same issue and tried it all. After talking with my Teams admin, we were able to get this resolved by closing teams and then removing the contents in: %localappdata%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams

After we removed it and started teams, it is now detecting misspelled words.

I have done every work around, restart, clear, uncheck, and even had our IT team get on to try to fix the spell check problem. Our IT team was able to get me auto correct for the rest of the day, but when I logged on the next day it still wasn't there. Did all the steps again. I've been forced to go back into the old teams as those issues are not happening there. Obviously it's a glitch with Microsoft and the update. So, not sure why they can't just get fixed for the thousands of customers that use this for their day to day work. I consider myself a pretty good typer, but sometimes I'm moving way to fast and have my hands in way to much to have to check every single word I type. Would love for a solution as I was really enjoying the NEW Teams feature and the speed of it compared to the older version. For now I'll just hold on to the old trusty version

I had this issue and this is what fixed the issue for me.

BLUF: Reset the app.

1. Using Search, "Installed Apps" and select the result
2. In the search field type Teams
3. Next to Microsoft Teams (or Teams New...whichever you are using), select the three dots, and then the advanced options.
4. Scroll down and select Reset. (It will close any sessions you have open reset all settings and delete app data.)
5. Restart Teams. Spell check should be working again.

This seems to come down to a desire to push out new versions whether they are ready or not. Having moved from license to subscription based models, I think quality has gone down. New features are added to try and get people to upgrade to new versions while ignoring existing problems.

I did these steps and teams just does not suggest the right words. I tend to transpose letters so the word SHOULD comes out as SHOUDL or the work JUST is JSUT and jut about any word with ING at the end gets typed IGN. When I was on Windows 10 in Teams it would suggest the right word, but now that I moved to Windows 11 it does not.
