Why is when i use the "New" teams, my taskbar doesnt show status just says "new"

Trying the New teams, instead of my taskbar showing me a checkmark or away status. the taskbar teams just says "New"

    Right away, the status notification in the system tray works! Hopefully, this has now stabilized.

    You must be on one of the latest version. Personally, I'm on version the preliminary version 23335.219.2592.8659 (Client version 49/23113028720).

    I can still see the "New" label but I also see my status :

    If you have an IT department, maybe ask them if you could have the latest version?
