Hi

I installed the new Teams and now I can't find my contacts list.

When I am in the call menu, there was a tab with all my contacts. This is now missing.

Please see the attached image.

Thanks, I see that now. My existing groups are already in Categories & this is much closer to what I was looking for.... but the contacts aren't showing availability for each person. That's the #2 reason I used groups in old teams. #1 reason being who works where, as previously mentioned - but once I open that group, I need to be able to see who is available, away, busy, do not disturb, out of office, or just plain offline.

I meant I don't have the "pin" option for the "people" icon.

+1 Contacts is a useful feature, especially being able to GROUP them. Creating a Group of Contacts by Team is VERY useful.

If I need to find someone, can't remember their name, but can remember what Team they are on, it's a perfect way to find and reach them quickly.

As a Manager, I can also quickly see/scan the status of all the Team members on a whole Team, all in one place.

"Did the whole team join the meeting? Oh no, I see X person out of a large Group in Teams Contacts is still "green", and I may need to reach out to them later and catch them up!"

Very easy to answer that by looking at the Grouped Contacts we have in the old Teams.

So, In the calls function, you can add contacts to your speed dial. This shows the status, but there is no grouping by Category. So, it seems they have not created a way to have contacts grouped into categories AND show their statuses. Very disappointing. Hope they add the status to the People tab!!
