Contacts tab missing in new Teams

Hi

I installed the new Teams and now I can't find my contacts list.

When I am in the call menu, there was a tab with all my contacts. This is now missing.

Please see the attached image.

    I truly believe the people at Microsoft who make these dumb decisions don't actually use their own apps.

    I found my contacts by selecting the "Calls" selection on the left hand navigation in Teams.

    Then, you can select "View Contacts" and this will action will result in a "People" tab auto-populating on the left hand navigation of TEams and your contacts should be viewable.

    You might be able to pin it. Yuo can also get to it directly via the three dots above "Apps".

    So what is the problem? The problem is that it doesn't show status.

    hi there is one workaround i now use. I have a Ghat Group for everyone in my Department and when i look at all the users in the Chat i can see the online status.
