Contacts tab missing in new Teams

Hi

I installed the new Teams and now I can't find my contacts list.

When I am in the call menu, there was a tab with all my contacts. This is now missing.

Please see the attached image.

    For contacts statuses to show, go to SETTINGS>GENERAL>SYSTEM then check off where it says, "Register Teams as the chat app for Microsoft 365 (requires restarting Microsoft 365 applications)

    Hello,

    The contacts feature in older Teams version is available in new version using the "People" built-in app.

    Also the contacts saved in older version is retained in new version and not erased.

    Follow the steps as described in below link.
