Contacts tab missing in new Teams

Hi

I installed the new Teams and now I can't find my contacts list.

When I am in the call menu, there was a tab with all my contacts. This is now missing.

Please see the attached image.

    Yes, I noticed this yesterday, it does make things a little better. I like the ability to quickly switch groups and see all of the groups someone is in.

    (I miss when contacts/chat was a tab instead of a dropdown.)

    Still, I cannot see the chat right away and in my company, I cannot pin the people app.

    But it is a step forward.

    Today, I could only use the new Teams, automatically probably set up by either the IT department or Microsoft themselves. So, I was pretty annoyed... UNTIL I noticed that the People App now does have the status!! Not at first, but after restarting the Teams application several times I can now see my departments and the people's status. Strange, although it doesn't look as good as the contact list, I can now at least use it.

    TOTALLY AGREE! I have switched back to the Old Teams and have disabled New Teams in our MS 365 Tenant. I also have my Contacts grouped in the Old Teams organized by Department (Based on our Organization Chart) and External Company Contacts.

    PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Microsoft add this Most Valuable Functionality in the New Teams!
