Hi

I installed the new Teams and now I can't find my contacts list.

When I am in the call menu, there was a tab with all my contacts. This is now missing.

Please see the attached image.

Unfortunately, the People tab still does not show the offline/away/busy/available status of anyone, which is what I need it for most. I frequently reach out to people with timely concerns and determining who is online is a big part of the Contacts functionality that is missing from the People tab.

It's actually the People Tab now. You need to pin that though. I think it's better as a tab now to switch with chat.

I installed the New MSTeams last night, and the first thing I noticed this morning was, where is the 'Contacts View'??

I had set up Groups within Contacts View, it is so organized, efficient, fast to see who in a certain Contact Group is online to invite to a mtg or chat, so efficient for real time conversation. Having to enter one person at a time to see, is so-and-so on, no, let me check... and go through one by one to find someone online and available, ugh, so inefficient!

I did take the suggestion to "Pin" and have pinned two group chats, the people I most often talk to as a group. Hint/workaround: you go into the group chat and click on the symbol for 'people' in the upper right corner and you can see who is in the group and their status.

I too hope MS brings back 'Contacts view' as I used it every day, it created simplicity and efficiency!

I had about 10 groups set up in "Contacts View", to "Pin" all of those groups is too much, and its too many keystrokes to get to what you want... "Contacts" gave you that information 'at a glance'.

This is a HUGE miss by Microsoft. My main view Teams is based on Grouped Contacts. I have my whole team grouped together, as well as people from other teams that I work directly with. This allows me to see everyone all at once, as well as their current status. Removing this feature is a disservice. Thankfully I have the ability to revert to the old version still, but my understanding is we will be forced to the new version in April. Not excited about this at all. Do better, Microsoft.
