I'd like to group chats together, not people.
I know this has been asked before, but the solution provided is not working anymore.
I get both personal chat messages and group chats chat messages from several hundred people and would like to categorize them to find, e.g. all messages from a certain group. I found that I can make Contact Groups, which means I can group several contacts into one group, but I cannot add "group chats" to such a contact group. How do I do this? thanks.

Setting a color to a chat is not available, or I cannot find it?
You can also colour-code your chats based on their importance or category. Right-click on a chat and choose Change colour to assign a specific colour, such as red for urgent chats, green for personal chats, and blue for work-related chats.
I don't seem to see this feature. Does it actually exist?

Please do something about it : that seems so basic nowadays and yet not being able to group chats makes it way more ineffective. Pin/unpinned or read/unread is not sufficient anymore as people are using less and less emails for chats messages.
Hi there. Thanks for the reply. I added my own reply above regarding using the "People" app within teams and providing them "tags" to group them. You can chat from the person's name in the list for the selected tag. I hope you can find that useful.
Not ideal, but it gets the job done.
I think old Teams and Skype both did exactly that. Allow you to group chats to your preferences in your window so to arrange the chats with people who happen to be in the engineering team under a section head called "engineering". THen when you want to see if an engineering cat is online, you don't have to remember or learn all their names and find them alphabetically.... miss that too in new Teams. Channels requires everyone to opt in to that channel you created, plus any other channels someone else may have created. Organization and features at the user's side have diminished. I used to also be able to select size of font and window for my viewing space, besides grouping my chats as I saw fit for MY efficiency. I was just getting nostalgic and googled if this feature is hidden or what...and I see its no longer available.
