Thank you. You rock for sharing all of that. That sounds like more work than I do just typing out the missing information myself. I may give it a try, but the big issue for me with this work around is selecting and copying all. I am constantly having different conversations with the same people and it is all in the same chat. Even if I start a new conversation, Teams adds it to the existing chat with past conversations. So having to strip out all of the old stuff in many cases would be more work than what I have to do now -- typing in what I can no longer copy from Teams. :(

Yes I can copy the actual conversation. I just need it to also pick up the information about who wrote the direct message dialog and when. It used to get captured with a simple copy. Once that broke, I found this chat and tried a suggestion that had worked for awhile, but now the work around doesn't work. I copy conversations to include in tickets I am working for my job. I want to record exactly when the conversation happened and who was involved. I now have to add that information myself and it is time consuming. It is frustrating.

Thank you for the suggestion. I don't have Power Toys Extractor. I guess I can ask at work, but they are hesitant to install extras.

Does it extract text from the full Teams chat thread or whatever it can capture on the screen and then you can to continue to scroll and capture?

I use the Power Toys Text Extractor Win+Shift+T I believe that the some admins turn off the ability to keep Time Stamps for regulatory purposes, so keep that in mind.
