    Hey Everyone, found this on another thread reporting this issue. Please take a minute to go to the link in the below message and log your complaint

    I had this issue investingated last week. Here is the response from Microsoft:

    I have shared the video with the senior team, and they have confirmed that this is indeed a new update in Microsoft Teams. It was a feature requested on the user feedback page.
    This update is being rolled out to all tenants globally, not just to your users.

    see link Copying the selected text should only copy selected text, not sender · Community (microsoft.com)
    {**https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/6186a0fe-f402-ef11-a73d-6045bd7e894e**}

    Additionally, some customers are advocating for this to be an optional feature, and hopefully, that will be implemented as well.

    Dear Rahul,

    Good day!

    Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist!

    Based on your description regarding "I am not able to copy and paste Teams message with Time and sender name". My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this might be causing you, after thorough testing, I got same situation as you. The Workaround I found is to hold mouse for selecting the message with Time and sender you want then use CTRL+C for copy and CTRL+V for paste. Therefore, I will update this thread as soon as I get more detail information about the query and fix.

    Also, if you have the organization admin permission, you can also raise a service request to report this symptom to our online channel through the O365 admin center. A support agent can further connect with you remotely, for further troubleshooting and involve the backend team where need be. Get support for Microsoft 365 for business -- Online support. I will also revert back when I get more info on this. Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Do you know when this issue will be fixed?

    The workaround is cumbersome, since it means you can only copy/paste one message at a time, not a group of messages, unless you plan to do a ton of editing of the pasted information.

    Thanks

    I completely agree! This was a very useful and heavily used feature, so I hope it is restored to its former glory soon! :)

    This has been going on a while now, holding the mouse button down then doing CTRL+C for copy and CTRL+V succeeds in pasting the missing information, however it's not formatted correctly and is practically unreadable and that makes it unusable. Especially in a work environment.

    Hi Inema, Do you have any updates on this? As mentioned in my comment below (and pasted in this message bc, guess what, copy paste works in MS community even though it doesn't in MS teams :()) ... the holding the mouse button and use CTRL+C for copy and CTRL+V for paste does not work as expected. When will a fix for this be released so that we can copy and paste as we used to be able to do?

    "'This doesn't work well at all though. It gets this weird formatting that is not usable for a straight copy paste, It pastes a preview of the message along with the entire message. I still have to do a bunch of editing. This is a garbage upgrade and needs to be fixed. The masses of people who copy paste are not using it for coding, that is an edge case and should not be the main focus of programming.
