How To Prevent Enter Key From Sending Chat Message

I am often working in other windows but have a lot of teams messages that I need to address. This results in my sending meaningless messages accidentally when I hit ENTER thinking I am in a different window but I am really in teams. How do I by default prevent the ENTER button from sending a message?

    It's been two years since this problem was first reported. I'm sure there are other comment threads with this same complaint. Teams was release in 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I reallllllly hate MS. They buy up competitors & then REMOVE functionality (wonderlist became todo & now you can't sort by more than one field.)

    FIX THIS BASIC FUNCTIONALITY

    YOU'VE HAD YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Does that work for all applications or is there a way to run an application or a popped up message box to do that.

    What I find strange is that all these AIs who are supposed to be clever don't have a setting option. I must have sent dozens of unfinished prompts just to Copilote alone.
