why does teams now replace the normal close / min / max buttons on macos:
with:
when sharing your desktop (or window).
this is the same icon that is shown in the notification bar when screen sharing, but annoyingly replaces the window chrome... and teams is the only application to do this.
OBS studio (which records / captures the desktop) does not do this.
Zoom does not do this...
only microsoft.
why?
please remove this annoyance.

THIS IS INSANE! REMOVE THIS **** IMMEDIATELY!
Why on earth is MS so dumb to allow such stupid **** be rolled out to everybody who is forced to use their products? You are actively hiding important window controls on the OS level... for WHAT reason?
Remove this and fire whoever "invented" this thing!

I am also experiencing the issue; it was a hindrance until I realized that you can right click on your team's application on your dock and select the "Hide" option and when you would like it back right click "Show". It does require extra steps, but it does hide the screen while you are sharing.

Please remove this, it is non sense. It is annoying several people of my company.
You don't need to use the dock. You can click that stupid icon and popup menu with window controls appears.
But Microsoft, remove this already. How can this be for so long in production when it's so annoying.

We've also tested several apps including Messenger and WhatsApp I am really curious if this is so dumb feature of microsoft. And why the hell apple allows this in theirs API?
