why does teams now replace the normal close / min / max buttons on macos:
with:
when sharing your desktop (or window).
this is the same icon that is shown in the notification bar when screen sharing, but annoyingly replaces the window chrome... and teams is the only application to do this.
OBS studio (which records / captures the desktop) does not do this.
Zoom does not do this...
only microsoft.
why?
please remove this annoyance.

That is absolutely ridiculous! A feature with such a drastic user impact has to have a way to switch it off. That is absolutely crazy!
Regarding this topic in the thread: fully agree that this feature needs to be reverted or allowed for opt-out.
I additionally had bugs as not my whole screen was transferred during a screenshare session, only the windows with the new icon. Moving new windows to the screen or new dialogs from applications were not shown.
Regarding the Audio:
This might be due to a switch from A2DP to HFP if you're using a Bluetooth headset.
I can see the difference e.g. when I join a meeting with Output on the headset and then switching the Input from headset to MacBook Microphone.
How could Microsoft have approved this feature? It's really frustrating. This demonstrates inefficiency within Microsoft and shows a bias towards their own tools over the Mac system. No matter how much you try, you can't even touch Mac OS. If you're going to roll out new features, there should be an option to disable them. Doesn't the product manager even know this basic thing? Microsoft needs to grow up. 💁🏻
unfortunately (based on a lot of work done business to business with MS), there is no one at MS outside of maybe windows or (core) office that are actual employees. everything is a contract, and some random independent entity decides how things go. this is why nothing works with itself, and everything that comes out of MS feels like its part of some disparate ecosystem, even when it should all tie together under one umbrella. Its something that product management at apple and amazon have learned to get right, but something very foreign to the likes of microsoft.

I had to quit and restart all of my apps to restore normal window UI. It doesn't reset itself after screen sharing and meeting end.
Microsoft, please disable this feature.
