Green Artifacts When Viewing Shared Screens in Teams

We have a few users who have been seeing green artifacts during Teams Meetings. This will happen at the same time that someone is presenting.

Specs of Laptop:

Dell Latitude 5550

Intel Core Ultra 5 135U vPro

Intel Iris Xe Graphics

32GB RAM

512GB SSD

Things we have tried to remedy this:

  1. Run Teams in Compatibility mode
  2. Update to the newest Intel Arc/Iris Xe Driver
  3. Update to a different Intel WHQL Arc/Iris Xe Driver
  4. Uninstall and Reinstall Teams
  5. Tried using Teams in the browser

Any insight would be appreciated!

    Same issue in Teams. New Lenovo Thinkpad P14s laptop which has a Intel Arc(TM) Graphics and Intel Core Ultra 7 155H.

    On our side it seems that thé Last Intel graphics driver from Dell (issues 17/12 version xxx. 6078) doesn't have this problem

    Wait and see...

    And we installé the Last webcam driver too has on the liability report we got sole error from thé webcam driver

    I have the same issue, Intel core ultra 5 on a dell machine. Someone should likely place a ticket with intel as its likely a GPU hardware acceleration issue. I had some luck with this guide, but the file i changed was app_settings.json

    We got the same issue here. Green artifacts on the stream during Teams Meetings and also on some web streams in Edge/Chrome browsers.

    This happens on 2 new Dell Latitude 7350 devices. (Our first devices with an Intel Core Ultra series CPU.)

    Specs:

    Dell Latitude 7350

    Intel Core Ultra 7 165U

    Integrated Graphics

    16 GB LPDDR5x memory

    512 GB NVMe SSD

    Installed Intel graphics driver:

    32.0.101.6449

    Note: We skipped 32.0.101.6458 as there has been no relevant info in the changelog.

    BIOS version: 1.11.1 (from 14 January 2025)

    Both devices have been newly installed with Windows 10 Enterprise. The existing installation from Dell has been wiped before. (diskpart -> clean)

    Note: Windows 11 is still on our to-do list for this year and no option yet due to old software on a server.

    What we tried so far:

    • Checking out the proposed edit to the "Desktop-config.json" file. - This will not work with Team (New) though as it does not create a Teams folder under "C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft" anymore. Any remnant folder is most likely from a previous Teams (Classic) installation.
    • Disabling hardware acceleration for WebView2 via environment variable using "setx WEBVIEW2_ADDITIONAL_BROWSER_ARGUMENTS --disable-gpu". - Initially this seemed to work but the issue soon happened again afterwards.

    What seems to currently work as a temporary "fix":

    • Disable hardware acceleration entirely on the user via registry, then reboot once. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics\DisableHWAcceleration DWORD value = 1

    Obviously far from ideal. Our issue (aside from the main issue itself) is that Teams (New) does not have the "Disable hardware acceleration" option anymore which was still available in Teams (Classic).

    And we would have needed to disable hardware acceleration specifically for Teams (New), Edge, Chrome and Firefox for our use cases.

    So far we believe Intel probably has to fix this issue since disabling hardware acceleration seems to bypass it but the earliest (similar) post we found regarding Intel Core Ultra series artifacts is from November 2024... this might be a long one - assuming that this is related to the "current" issue somehow.
