No option to turn off notifications for a single post

Teams documentation[1] has instructions for turning off notifications for a specific conversation.

I have been using this feature for years without issue.

As of several weeks ago, I no longer have this option when I open the dropdown menu for a post.

Has the feature been removed, or moved somewhere else?

    Adding my voice to the chorus chanting "bring back Turn Off Notifications" for all conversations and chats.

    It is important that I get notifications in general, but I DO NOT need to get dozens of audio, visual, and email alerts for people replying to a happy birthday conversation!

    The ability to silence notifications on a case-by-case basis is a critical feature.

    I have the same issue. It happened with the update that moved the channel posts to be sorted newest at the top instead of newest at the bottom. I think it's a feature that was removed, because I used it all the time before then. Please bring this feature back! It's very annoying and distracting not being able to turn off notifications for specific posts

    RonBaker thanks for your reply, but please let's get serious. If you read previous comments you would see that the step-by-step you wrote doesn't exist anymore. That's the whole point. Johny L42 attached an image that shows how that looked earlier, just as you described in 3 steps.

    Now, there is no such option either I use the Desktop App or Web App.

    I mentioned that everyone else in the company had the same issue with the new version of Teams. So, it won't be fixed by logging out and logging back in. Anyway, I tried logging out and reinstalling the app which didn't solve the problem,

    The page I linked to has a section titled "Turn off notifications for specific conversations".

    This section contains the following image indicating a button to "Turn off notifications" for a post.

    However when I try to do this, I no longer have this option available to me.

    This is what I see when I open the context menu for a post:

    I have the same issue that Joel and Jonny have described. And not just the three of us, but everyone else in the company is facing the same issue. I don't know what the reason was for removing this functionality, but please bring it back.

    I could copy-paste Joel's comment and add one more thing. Due to the vast number of unnecessary notifications, I often end up missing the important ones.
