No chat notification sound after updating Teams to new version 23285.3809.2525.961 on Mac

Hi,
I have recently my Teams on Mac to new version "23285.3809.2525.961". Since the update, I am not getting any chat notification sound at all. I have checked all the relevent setting on micorosoft teams as well as in notification centre on Mac but no luck. Can anyone please help?

We were facing the same issue and recently one of my colleagues figured out that if we are using new teams on Mac as well as on our phone, the focus mode and do not disturb service get turned on on Mac without our knowing. Because it is in sync with the changes if made on the phone for teams. So you can try searching focus on the system setting and check if it is turned on or do not disturb is turned on under focus mode.

Also, if it solves the issue, consider disabling sync on Mac or adding Teams to the whitelist.

I have literally tried all the possible options given in the chat. Its not at all working. This is really annoying. I am using :

Teams Version 24102.2212.2853.5419 (24102.2212.2853.5419)

Mac: M3 Pro 14.4.1

after weeks of trial...today audio notification is working :-o

I've uninstalled both MS Teams (old and new) and I've installed the new version 24091.212.2846.1453

Activated the notification on Settings... audio notification are working today!

I've to monitoring it in the next hours

there is no sound option listed only banner.

My sound notifications are all on

But there is no option under Chat message notifications for sound.

also that is not how you get to these settings.

there is no setting button when clicking on my picture.

only from Settings in the Mac upper window.

And be careful if you have multiple Macs running Focus settings! I think Focus was my issue, except that my Mac at HOME was the one enabling Work focus settings, which were affecting my Mac in my office without me knowing (the alert about Work focus comes up on my home machine, but not on my office machine). I added the exception in Focus on my work Mac and now I get notifications again!

So really, I should be complaining to Apple about how complicated they've made Focus.... And the fact that it's kind of a dumb, ambiguous name....
