No chat notification sound after updating Teams to new version 23285.3809.2525.961 on Mac

Hi,
I have recently my Teams on Mac to new version "23285.3809.2525.961". Since the update, I am not getting any chat notification sound at all. I have checked all the relevent setting on micorosoft teams as well as in notification centre on Mac but no luck. Can anyone please help?

    Hi Utkarsh,
    Thanks for your response. I have tried all of the step 1-4 but unfortunately issue is not resolved for me. I can use classic Teams in parallel and notifications work fine on classic teams but not on new Teams.

    I have the very same problem and it driving me crazy. Incoming call notifications have a sound but not for chats. I was thinking I am the only one

    You have Microsoft Teams version 23285.3809.2525.961. You've got the latest version. It was last updated on 17.11.2023.The client version is 50/23101227712.

    Ok, so it appeared to be an issue with Mac notifications, and not specific to Teams.

    The thing that solved it for me is turning on "Allow notifications when mirroring or sharing the display" in System Settings > Notifications.

    1. Check Notification Settings in Microsoft Teams: a) Open Microsoft Teams on your Mac. b) Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner. c) Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu. d) In the "Notifications" tab, make sure that the "Chat notifications" option is enabled. e) Also, check if the sound for chat notifications is turned on and the volume is set to an audible level.
    2. System Preferences on Mac: a) Go to "System Preferences" on your Mac. b) Select "Notifications." c) Find Microsoft Teams in the list of apps on the left. d) Ensure that the "Allow Notifications" box is checked. e) Check the notification settings for Teams to make sure sound is enabled.
