"Since Teams was introduced to us for use, the notification sound, that continuous "ding," can be changed to something more delicate or something that sounds a bit more pleasant? I have to live with the only sound notification Teams has, because Microsoft lacks imagination and forgot that not everyone who uses Teams may like the same sound, that annoying "ding" which after a few hours becomes like a hammer hitting your head."

The latest version of NEW TEAMS, lets you change the notification sound. There's not a lot to choose from, but at least we're not stuck with the default now.
What I was pointing to was not Teams specific.
Its labeled as the Notification sound under the Windows heading
You wont find any Teams specific entries
Sorry if that was confusing, its irritating that all MS does is says fill out a change request

Yeah changing the Notification Sound does not affect Teams.
man I wish MS would stop changing Teams. it worked fine 2 days ago... LEAVE IT ALONE!

I'm also now getting the "new sound" for team chat pops up, dives me crazy, I can't find where to change this anywhere nor in it's system files.
Lol, I wish companies were a bit more smarter before purchasing the whole MS bs package. I can see how that conversation would go between the MS sellers and a CTO:
MS seller: "Well Mr. CTO we have very attractive price on the cloud management solutions and with the same package we can provide you half price the 365, with the outlook and Teams included"
CTO thinking: "Damn, that is a good deal. I will save a lot of money to my corporation, the CEO will kiss me for the rest of the year and screw all the IT department with all the devs in it, who by the way they hold 90% of the business up and running, put everyone on Teams with that dingy notification sound which becomes a psychological pain after 8-12 hours work"
