"Since Teams was introduced to us for use, the notification sound, that continuous "ding," can be changed to something more delicate or something that sounds a bit more pleasant? I have to live with the only sound notification Teams has, because Microsoft lacks imagination and forgot that not everyone who uses Teams may like the same sound, that annoying "ding" which after a few hours becomes like a hammer hitting your head."

The latest version of NEW TEAMS, lets you change the notification sound. There's not a lot to choose from, but at least we're not stuck with the default now.

Back in 2021 we were able to change the TEAMS notification sound. WHY DID MICROSOFT TAKE THAT AWAY ?
If you switch to Windows 10 native notifications in Teams, you can change the Teams notification sound. In the Windows 10 system sounds settings, "Notification" is the sound setting you need to change.

This is really uncomfortable. The status change sound is similar to other notifications. I cannot distinguish if someone write to me or if someone goes online/offline.
I add my voice to the others regarding this topic.
The fact that Teams doesn't allow changing sound is not very inclusive as people who suffer Misophonia are forced to listen to the current notification sound despite their possible traumas. I used to work in a company where where I had a quite traumatic experience and they used MS Teams. Now I changed company, but every time I hear this sound it still gives me terrible stress and discomfort. If only would be possible to simply let us choose... It is something so simple to implement! I honestly thought MS had stronger inclusiveness in mind while developing their apps. I feel discriminated and I hope Microsoft will consider implementing custom notifications.
