I have to live with the only sound notification Teams has, because Microsoft lacks imagination and forgot that not everyone who uses Teams may like the same sound, that annoying "ding" which after a few hours becomes like a hammer hitting your head."

The latest version of NEW TEAMS, lets you change the notification sound. There's not a lot to choose from, but at least we're not stuck with the default now.
This kind of used to work, except it was Instant Message Notification that you had to change to silent rather than Notification. Now my Instant Message Notification is still set to silent, but the instant messages still keep pinging. and some people are SO annoying with their 6 or 7 messages in a row instead of typing everything they want to say and sending one message.
I've looked at Notification sound and that's not the noise it makes every time there's a message so that's not the setting that relates to it. Where does it get that noise from? I want to delete it.
I don't want to turn all sound off, I want to hear when there's a call. just not that persistent ping ping from messages.
I am genuinely curious. Developers, testing new software, debugging things. Seems like a PC oriented job, right?
But more importantly: Both Mac and PC users experience the same baloney with the teams sound. We shall not suffer this injustice silently!

Guess what machines 99% of the developers are using in a corporate environment? They using MacOS. Any idea how to do it on apple machines?
