There is any way to change the sound of Teams notification?

"Since Teams was introduced to us for use, the notification sound, that continuous "ding," can be changed to something more delicate or something that sounds a bit more pleasant? I have to live with the only sound notification Teams has, because Microsoft lacks imagination and forgot that not everyone who uses Teams may like the same sound, that annoying "ding" which after a few hours becomes like a hammer hitting your head."

The latest version of NEW TEAMS, lets you change the notification sound. There's not a lot to choose from, but at least we're not stuck with the default now.

    I also can not tolerate this sound anymore...

    It would be great to change the sound/define selective notifications...

    Since Teams was launched, the project owner wasn't visionary enough to add this functionality as a feature? If would have to seat for 8 to 11 hours a day, using Teams probably would've think about

    The new Teams sound, as of March 28, 2023, IS AWFUL! It is a disturbing sound.
    I have tried the fixes above, to no avail; I cannot find the Teams notification sound anywhere.

    Please advise!! Why does Microsoft KEEP MESSING WITH TEAMS?!?!?!

    Hello Godzila5000, this is Suganya. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to resolve your issue

    Currently, only Android mobile devices are able to choose what type of sound plays for notifications.

    To choose if a sound plays with new notifications and calls, select your profile picture at the top-right corner of Teams, then Settings > Notifications > Play sounds for incoming calls and notifications. This setting is on by default.

    I suggest you follow the below steps to change Teams sounds on Windows and see how it works

    1. Open Microsoft Teams
    2. Hit your profile icon.
    3. Hit Manage Account to open the Teams Settings dialog.
    4. Open the notifications tab.
    5. Select Windows in the Notification Style combo box.
    6. Ensure that the Play sounds slider is enabled
    7. Close the Settings dialog.
    8. Hit your profile icon and sign out from Microsoft Teams.

    Next, select your preferred Windows notification sound:

    1. Next hit the Windows key and type change system sounds,
    2. Now, in the Program Events dialog, scroll down and Highlight the Notification entry.
    3. Hit Browse to select your preferred sound from the Windows Media folder (typically located in C:\Windows\Media). You can add custom sounds to that directory folder and pick those as needed.
    4. Hit the Test button, to try the new notification sound.
    5. Hit OK.
    6. Last step is to login to Teams. From now on, whenever you receive a new notification in Teams, your operating system notification sound will be played.
