In Teams (New) we have a Tab that links to Sharepoint. When we open the Tab now we are getting the following message :

You're viewing content from https://.... Make sure you trust this site before using it. If the site doesn’t load properly, open it in a browser.

When we open the site in a browser the sharepoint site loads correctly. How can we get rid of the message and open sharepointsite within Microsoft Teams (New)

We have been using the Website app to share a specific Dataverse record to each channel (all in the same tenant).

This still works fine in both versions of the Teams web client.

It also works fine in the old Teams desktop client.

It does not work in the new Teams desktop client.

Therefore, the new Teams desktop client is not the same!

I got this two weeks ago and forgot I had posted about it here.

(Updated) Changes to the Website tab in the new Teams client.

Updated March 15, 2024: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.

Starting mid-July 2024 (previously April), Microsoft Teams will be retiring the ability to load websites inside the new Teams client when using the Website tab. These website links will open in a new browser tab instead. This is to better align with emerging best practices in web security and privacy while also improving the reliability of websites opened through this feature.

Please note that EDU tenants will not be impacted as we are still researching options on how to best provide a non-disruptive way to access websites for students and educators at a later date.

    When this will happen:

We will begin rolling out this change in mid-July 2024 (previously early April).

How this will affect your organization:

Users will no longer be able to view websites inside the new Teams desktop and web clients when using the Website tab and will instead be opened in a new browser tab. Existing Website tabs will also be opened in a new browser tab.

The Teams mobile apps will not be impacted.
