Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

Proposed solution: restart your computer multiple times per day, switch to Slack, SMS, and revert to writing long-form letters by quill and inkwell, transmitting scrolls by carrier pigeon.

Fingers crossed that Microsoft will pay attention.

It would be very helpful if anyone could capture the exact steps that lead to this problem. Editing a message, switching between edits and new message box, function lock and print screen keys don’t seem to reliably break the left and right arrow keys.

If we knew exactly how to break this, then finding a way to fix it would be a lot easier.

Agree - I have mentioned my Teams finding that now works and get more Microsoft community emails day after day after day. With you Wojciech! I had to unsubscribe after this because I feel these emails will go for ever.

Same here. Microsoft, please fix. This is really annoying since we use Teams a lot at work.
