Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

EVERYONE - The more interactive we are with this thread (is hitting YES to the WAS THIS INFO HELPFUL) the more likely it will get the attention of someone at MS who might actually do something so be sure to be as involved as you can to keep this issue up front.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their experience.

Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.29469 (64-bit). It was last updated on 10/26/2021
    Windows 10 v 20H2 build 19042.1288

had the same issue but now everything is fine. not sure what/when it has been fixed - maybe latest version.

the only specific thing i did: turned off then turned on the spellcheck in teams settings - general ( each time it requests to restart teams )

Its the restart, rather than the spellings settings, that helped you - the temporary fix is to fully close teams and reopen. Note: when you just press the close X, it really just minimizes it to the task bar.

    To fully close its either:
. on the task bar, right clock on teams and press 'Quit'
. on the system tray, (may need to expand), right click on the team T icon and press 'Quit'
. opening task manager and close it there.

    Then reopen.

Been having this issue for over a month now. Im surprised to see it was reported back in May!
Restarting MS Teams work for me but it's quite annoying to be closing and opening Teams several times a day. I hope this is fixed ASAP
