Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop 

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external 

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

    This issue was created in may 2021. ITs more than a year ago. Why are we still struggeling with this? Why is it acceptable the so mouch time across the world is wasted while people are scratching their heads with this sort og problems. If software Companies took this serious this would be resolved. They are not liable. Its decades ago they had the interesrt of users on the top of their priorities.

    I could go on for a while on this but i don have the time. Got software stoff outside my area of expertise to solve, passwords to manage and reset, programs to update and so on. Thank good parashutes are not have this sort of operating system

    A year later and no fix from Microsoft. Did they hire some managers from Atlassian? There are Jira bugs and feature requests that have been open for a decade or more.

    Teams is awful. I miss Slack.

    Anyway, thanks to Ben X. Li - the click somewhere else and hit ESC workaround works a treat.

    I have the same. And look: messaging app, for business, where basic editing functionality is glitching for at leas half of year.
