Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

This is better than having to restart my whole computer lol but, I'd love to better understand why this happens and or have it fixed so it doesn't happen.

Solution (sort off) is to Quit Teams (Right click on Teams Icon and select X Quit) - and restart Teams ... then the arrow keys works as expected also in the message field in Teams

Hi - the solution is not solving the real problem here ... the problem is that what appears to be out of the blue the arrow keys in the Message field in Teams stops working - they still work in the Search field in Teams and for that matter in any other Application or Windows setting/File browser view etc ... and it happens often ... already suggested it might be tied to some legit keyboard strokes.

My setup is Windows 10 - Laptop with "internal" and wireless keyboard ... and both keyboards are affected.

Feel free to contact me - I am OK with a screen share if needed.

I had the same issue and have a wireless keyboard. The issue resolved after restarting Teams. It seems to happen randomly and is quite annoying.

Yeah , the only thing that has worked for me is restarting the whole computer unfortunately. I still don't understand what triggers it either.
