Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

Well, I am glad to see I am not alone - but dismayed to see so little action on getting this resolved.

I am on a Thinkpad PV15 with a dock and a dasKeyboard. None of that should matter, but wanted to mention it in case it is something hardware related. I cannot see how. Teams is all Javascript so there should be no hardware interaction.

Like others, this only happens in Teams (when it does, the arrow keys work everywhere else still). the SHIFT/CTL tricks others have suggested also work here.

Should we start a twitter campaign #MSFixThatArrow lol... seems to be all companies respond to lately

Same issue here. It's amateur hour over at Microsoft. No one can make decent software anymore. This is infuriating and pathetic from a billion dollar company.
