Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.29469 (64-bit). It was last updated on 10/26/2021
    Windows 10 v 20H2 build 19042.1288

had the same issue but now everything is fine. not sure what/when it has been fixed - maybe latest version.

the only specific thing i did: turned off then turned on the spellcheck in teams settings - general ( each time it requests to restart teams )

EVERYONE - The more interactive we are with this thread (is hitting YES to the WAS THIS INFO HELPFUL) the more likely it will get the attention of someone at MS who might actually do something so be sure to be as involved as you can to keep this issue up front.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their experience.

Andrew - Even though Microsoft isn't saying so thanks for responding and letting us all know your experience. if it's widespread for you on Win11 users that could be very important info towards solving the issue even if we (users) are the ones who have to figure this out if Microsoft will not.

Same situation, I also noticed that ctrl-arrow works to skip words - clearly a substantial MS Teams bug that needs to be fixed.

On the nostalgia side, I feel like many MS apps are back at the 1990s bug level ... especially when the keyboard backs up a bunch of characters while the app momentarily freezes and then all the typed characters appear, very retro.

BTW, I can run a ton of other software (not concurrently with Teams), including CAD apps, and they do not have this issue.

This is becoming a widespread issue in my organisation - especialy with Win 11 users - although that may be a red herring as they are the first to complain how Win11 is very inefficient for buisness users with all the messing around.

Everything in teams still works aprt from left and right arrows.

Quite teams and restart and it works fine for an hour or two then just stops and you end posting garbage to people.
