Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

How many thousands of people have to have the same issue before Microsoft fixes the problem with more than a reply to just turn it off and on again?  It's the arrow key for crying out loud! Not a complex customized algorithm people are running.

This has been causing me issues intermittently for months.

Yes, restarting TEAMS solves this for a while, but really - come on Microsoft, please fix this.

Cursor key navigation in text fields is a fundamental feature that simply should work all the time and never break.

Only TEAMS is affected, all other apps works as expected.

The problem has been plaguing me for a while. I noticed the problem was occurring today. I originally thought it was my wireless keyboard with my KVM switch setup. I narrowed it down that Teams was only affected. I restarted Teams as a previous post suggested. That worked today for less than five minutes before the problem started again. I disabled the GPU hardware acceleration as someone else suggested. So far, so good. I did not clear the cache however.

Unbelievable that this is still an issue in 2022. I experience this on my Mac intermittently more than I need to.
