Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

I have the same problem. Started noticing it a lot recently (Feb 2022). Two different keyboards, one wireless, one wired; one Logitech, one Dell. Obviously a Teams issue since everything else works fine. Ridiculous that this isn't fixed yet, and that as far as I can tell MS doesn't even chime in.

It started happening recently, and occurs on Mac and Windows. Cursor woukd move a few characters, and then refuse. I found when switching chats it works again, until it doesnt.

How is this still an issue all this time later? The keyboard works, the computer works, so just fix Teams please!

Not that I am trying to imply that this is the biggest problem with Teams, and that resolving it will make Teams as good as any of the other meeting spaces-- Lord no, never that. Teams is hot trash-- but this little niggling issue is at least one of the most baffling.

Also running into this issue at random times. I have a Dell Latitude laptop with a basic USB keyboard plugged in via dock station.

Really sounds like this is some weird Teams bug, definitely not tied to any particular brand or type of hardware. How abouts we fix this, MS? 😉

This was already disabled in mine and it's still occurring for me unfortunately.

I have Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, although according to all the reports I don't think that makes a difference.

Quitting Teams and opening again did fix it.
