Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

I have found that control-arrow keys has always worked, even when arrow keys by themselves do not.

It's not as convenient though. You can control-arrow over to near where the typo is, and press delete or backspace until you get to the error, and then fix the error and retype the rest of what was deleted.

But yes, this should be fixed. This is alpha-level non-functionality. A product should never go live that has this type of flaw.

I also have the same issues with my Logitech K780 keyboard. I thought that I'd need to install an annoying application profile for it or something to get the arrow keys to work properly in teams again. Glad to see that it isn't just me as well....

It's late March 2022, this bug seems to be almost a year old? How about a fix?

Just thankful I'm not the only one with the issue. I thought my keyboard was giving out for second. Very annoying bug.

That works for me too.. click the ..., press Esc, click back in chat and the cursor keys work again.
