Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

I have the same problem and i'm quite sure it startet happening after some Teams Update. Problem appears randomly. It would be nice if Microsoft would fix this ;)

I don't know if this will help others, but I have found I can move my cursor left and right after selecting the pop out chat option in the top right. I know it's not ideal, but it's something. There is also the control key with arrows that works and shift with arrows that I've seen others mention that also works. MICROSOFT PLEASE FIX THIS!

Instead of killing teams or rebooting, I have found that holding down the control key allows you to then use the arrow keys to move forwards and backwards in the text in teams. Not great but better that restarting the app all the time.

I tried this and it didn't work the first time, but the second time after I closed it I used shift-tab to move back to the input box and my left/right arrows worked again. I'm going to try straight manipulating through the tab order next time it stops working on me but it does seem to be focus related. Maybe there's something else that has partial focus that's catching the left and right arrows before they get passed down to the text box?
